This article outlines the ALLOWED Original Dr Simeons Weight Loss Protocol/Plan Phase 2/P2 Foods or Original Plan Foods (OP). It also outlines the Phase 2/P2 Foods that are NOT ALLOWED. Phase 2 is the first phase of the hCG weight loss plan when you are taking your hCG injections. This article also outlines the Alternate Weight Loss Plan Foods (AP) that some people now incorporate into their Phase 2/P2 meals. The Dr Simeons Weight Loss Protocol was created in the 1950’s. In the 1950’s people were not eating many of the vegetables and foods that we eat today. So many of our current foods are not part of the Phase 2/P2 hCG Weight Loss Protocol original food list. It is recommended to follow the Original Plan Phase 2/P2 List as close as possible to achieve maximum weight loss outcomes. But it is OK to experiment with the Alternate Plan Phase 2/P2 Foods as well. The alternate list is a good list to use for times when you may have to stray away from the original Phase 2/P2 plan, such as when… on vacation, at special events, eating at restaurants, during holidays, etc.

It is highly recommended that you keep a daily food diary while on Phase 2/P2 of the hCG Weight Loss Plan. This way, if you see that you have a weight gain one day, it could be from an alternate plan food (or even an Original Plan food) that you chose. Pay close attention to any Original or Alternate Foods that you choose. If you see a weight gain from that food, eliminate it from your Phase 2/P2 diet for the rest of your plan. Everyone is different and some foods affect people differently.

Also, we have added a list of items that you cannot eat on Phase 2/P2 of the plan. These items are just as important to understand. We will start with those. And ALWAYS BE SURE TO READ LABELS!

FOODS NOT ALLOWED ON PHASE 2/P2 OF PROGRAM (Original or Alternate Plan)

• Energy Drinks with real sugar or High Fructose Corn Syrup or artificial sweeteners
• Fruit Juice Drinks (real or artificial)
• Alcoholic Beverages
• Catsup (no sugar recipe OK)
• Beans
• Sugar/Honey
• High Fructose Corn Syrup
• Maple Syrup
• Brown Sugar
• Jelly/Jam
• Agave Nectar/Syrup
• Cornstarch
• Beet Sugar
• Fructose/Glucose
• Sorbitol
• Artificial Sweeteners:
– Sucralose (SPLENDA)

Phase 2/P2 ORIGINAL PLAN FOODS THAT YOU CAN EAT (OP)

Original Plan Drinks (OP):

• Coffee, hot or iced (Any type: Regular or Decaf)
• Tea, hot or iced (Any type: Regular or Decaf)
• Yerba Mate Tea (Must have 1 per day, aids in weight loss)
• Green Tea
• Oolong Tea
• Electrolyte Water/Spring Water (64 oz/day)
• Sparkling Water (Perrier, LaCroix)
• Filtered Water
• Skim Milk (1 tbsp in coffee or tea per day)

Original Plan Proteins (OP):

1 Serving size = 100 grams/3.5 ounces (2 servings per day total)

• Beef – very lean – ideally 95% or more fat free
• Skinless Chicken breast/white meat (no dark meat)
• Veal
• Deer (Venison)
• Elk
• Wild Game
• White fish (examples: Catfish, Cod, Flounder, Halibut, Sole, Red Snapper, Sea Bass, Tilapia, Trout) SKIN REMOVED
• Lobster
• Crab
• Shrimp

Occasional meat replacement allowed (1 serving):
• 1 egg + 3 egg whites
• 100 grams fat-free cottage cheese

Original Plan Vegetables (OP):

Serving size: None is indicated in original protocol. You are allowed to eat to satisfaction.

• 1 Grissini Stick (without oil- check many have olive oil in them)

• 1 lemon/day
• Stevia Sweetener
• 1 tbsp skim milk/day
• Judicious use of sugar-free sweeteners like stevia, erythritol, swerve, etc
• Spices and herbs (that do not contain starchy fillers or sugar, etc).
